As the leaves begin to fall in autumn mushrooms bloom from rotting wood through the leaf litter.

The blue-grey colours in the mushroom caps mirror those of the autumn skies, a perfect compliment to the Burnt Sienna coloured leaf litter.

The ‘flake’ texture of the background heralds the coming winter snow.
